Job Summary

Work with Item Processing software to balance work, correct errors, and run end of day procedures in that software. Complete verification procedures and run several process's before starting nightly process run. Complete nightly process run which updates accounts, run multiple backups on several systems. Complete process's that get our systems ready to run the next day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for nightly processing including updating our customers account information, running multiple backups, working with our Electronic Funds Transfer system, closing out the Teller system nightly, running the procedure to update our Internet Banking system, sorting and distributing all nightly reports in dispatch to the proper departments/employee.
  • Operates sorter to balance teller work, payments and other transactions.
  • Researches errors and enters necessary corrections to records.
  • Prepares cash letter and other reports.
  • Prepares and submits deposits to the Federal Reserve.
  • Ensure all procedures and programs are completed nightly.
  • To perform all job duties and maintain compliance with all banking acts, laws and regulations applicable to your job function.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • May assist in generating and printing customer statements as needed.
  • Assists in mail room duties as needed. 
  • May assist in the set up and administration of E-statements.

Qualifications Required

(Required education may be satisfied by experience and/or working knowledge)

A High School diploma or equivalent, intermediate level computer experience and two years experience in the data processing environment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Sitting for extended periods of time, requires close visual acuity and the ability to work and operate computer applications and equipment including copy machine, telephone, scanner or other basic business equipment. The job is within the normal office environment range.

Qualifications Preferred

A Bachelor's degree and three years experience in bank data processing.
